As we transition to colder weather, we have to start wear warmer clothes. The bomber jacket is a nice choice of transitional clothes. The bomber jacket aka flight jacket originated from World War 1.Pilots from Europe used to wear the bomber jacket to prevent them from getting cold while flying in high altitude. In 1932 the US army created a unique version of the bomber jackets.Throughout the 1900's bomber jackets had different changes from fur collar to a kit collar. By the late 1980's bomber jackets became popular among americans.By the early 2000's celebrities began wearing bomber jackets which increased the popularity tremendously. The bomber jacket still remains as a popular today and will remain timeless.

Layer For Warmth Layer For Fashion
As the seasons transition so do the styles. One of the biggest style transitions that makes a killer in winter is layering. Many fashionistas wait all year just to show off their layering skills. From socks on top of leggings to shirts on top of shirts layering in the winter can be fun, warm and fuzzy. Layering can make an outfit fun and sassy as it can be used as a way to add fun and exciting colors or patterns even statements pieces that just wouldn't cut it in any other season. Like scarves, fuzzy socks, leg warmers, tall socks, sweaters over shirts, cardigans and more. One reason that Layering is so popular in the winter is because of the simple equation, Layer 1 + Layer 2 + Layer3 ...= Warmth. One can be cutesy, cozy, and comfortable all by the way of layering. Also its not a hard trend to follow anyone can be innovative and original by just layering their way and calling it a day.

Loving My Leggings
Leggings are a staple piece in many young women's wardrobe. Whether they're being worn for warmth and comfort or you're dressing them up, they're an easy piece to throw on and a black pair can be worn with nearly anything. During the fall they're usually worn without anything overtop of them, but as the seasons begin to change and the weather gets colder, I start to see them layered more and more. Ripped jeans are a favorite clothing article of mine but in these chilly winter months I learn that fashion is pain when half of my legs are exposed to the frigid air. A pair of leggings is the perfect way to solve that problem. Leggings are a great transition piece from fall to winter.

Wrap Yourself Up This Winter

As cooler temperature is slowly approaching us, it's time to pull out our winter attire. One piece that sticks out to me is the scarf. Typically we take out our scarfs as soon as fall comes around and us it as a fashion statement for the fall months. Once the winter months hit us we start using scarfs as not only a fashion accessory but also as a piece to keep us warm. There are many different styles of scarfs that we can see in current fashion. Theres always the traditional wrap around scarf that is a versatile piece that we can pair with almost anything especially transitioning from fall to winter. Also, the infinity scarf is another one of popular scarves that can be used as a transitional piece from fall to winter. These scarves are typically large and and completely wrap around your neck. They also are a great piece to tie together the perfect winter look.

Fierce like a PUMA
PUMA was founded in 1948 by Rudolf Dassler in Herzogenaurach, Germany. In 1924, Rudolf and his brother Adolf Dassler had formed a different sportswear company together called Gebrüder Dassler Schuhfabrik. The two agreed to split in 1948, forming two separate entities, Adidas and PUMA. The company designs athletic and casual footwear, apparel, and accessories for men, women, and children. Rihanna has a PUMA collection called 'Fenti'. This has made the brand more popular today, especially among young women.

My favorite designer brand is Gucci. Gucci was founded by Guccio Gucci in Florence in 1921. Gucci is known for its green, red, green stripes which is found on most of the clothes and accessories as well as its double 'G' logo. Gucci is ranked the 38th most valuable brand, with a brand value of $12.4 billion as of May 2015. It is most well known for its leather goods, mainly handbags and shoes. This brand sticks out to me because of its unique and intricate designs that I have never seen produced from another designer. Although Gucci is famous for producing controversial advertisements that sexualize women; in February 2013, Gucci made the "Chime for Change" campaign which works to further the global campaign for women's empowerment. Gucci has funded over 210 projects in 81 countries via this initiative.

Boyfriend Jeans.... Not Just for Your Boyfriend
Jeans became a high fashion piece of clothing in the 1980's. Jeans
have been around since the 1930's but they were worn by working men (ex.
cowboys and gold miners). Denim was known as the "workers fabric". Well
known and high class fashion designers started to make jeans of their
own 50 years later. Gucci was one of the most influential fashion
designers to hop on this trend, this is the brand that caused jeans to
skyrocket. This trend was especially popular with the youth. During this
time period most jeans were loose and baggy, also known as boyfriend
jeans,. This relaxed style of jeans has made a huge comeback in the past
couple of years. Boyfriend jeans stomp out the standard for women to
wear tight fitting jeans, and for men to wear loose ones. Pair your
boyfriend jeans with a cozy turtleneck and you're set for the fall. Now
women can rock their boyfriends jeans better than they can!

Joggers..... Not just for Jogging
Sneakers are an important about of today's fashion, from Jordan, Nike, and Adidas. People had trouble showing off their shoes with oversized pants that cover up their shoes. Europeans created joggers that have elastic cups on the bottom. Sneakers heads love joggers because they no longer need to roll up their pants. Joggers are comfortable and are wore when it is chilly outside. Many celebrities began to to wear joggers like J.crew. Many chose to wear joggers over sweatpants because of the increasing popularity. Many major clothing lines are selling joggers and the trend continues to grow now.

Turtlenecks.....Not Just For Your Turtle

Photo credit: Tigist Sapphire via Foter.com / CC BY-SA
One of the famous fashion trends that stick out to me would have to be turtlenecks. Turtlenecks are a versatile piece of clothing that can be worn whenever. It's the perfect option to wear on a cozy fall day and can be paired with lots of different options such as boyfriend jeans, joggers, skirts, and can be accessorized with many options. It is a staple in a wardrobe. Turtlenecks have been very popular since the 1880s to this day. As time has evolved, so has the turtleneck. In the 1880s, it was a staple piece made to keep us warm, but 100 years later it was cut up and cropped and now is worn with the very stylish trend of boyfriend jeans. Women have always found a way to rock the turtleneck in various ways.
